Rohingya in Bangladesh


More than 700,000 Rohingya refugees are now living in Bangladesh, from December 2017 who has fled from Myanmar since 25 August 2017, to avoid ethnic and religious persecution by Myanmar's

World Bank announced nearly half a billion dollars in grant-based support to help Bangladesh address the needs of Rohingya refugees in areas including health, education, water and sanitation, disaster risk management, and social protection. Many countries and UN concerned on rohingya issue. Turkey, Jordan, Germany, China, Denmark assured to help Bangladesh to meet the urgent food needs of Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox’s Bazar. The WFP (World Food Programme) says more funds needed to assist the Rohingya refugees, living in Bangladesh. India builds houses in Rakhine State for Rohingyas to live after their return from Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Last Wednesday Myanmar officials visited camps for Rohingya Muslim refugees in Bangladesh. Whether Rohingya will return to Myanmar or not the decision must take by them before 15 November and the decision will not be taken by Bangladesh or Myanmar or UNHR.
