According to Constitution
of Bangladesh the elections take place within the 90-day period before the expiration of the term of the Jatiya Sangsad. As the current Sangshad first sat on 29 January 2014, so under the article 123(2)(a) of the Constitution, the next election is expected be held on a date between 31 October 2018 to 31 December 2018. So, the next Bangladeshi general election will be held,
on a date to be determined,
currently planned either for the third or last week in December.

The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Discussed with the The Jatiya Oikya Front. After discussion The Jatiya Oikya Front has decided to write a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with a request for a second round of talks on the alliance’s seven demands to make the general election free and fair and has called on the Election Commission to postpone the announcement of the election schedule until the prime minister completes her discussions with all political parties.
Obaidul Quader, the Awami League General Secretary, says there will be no further discussions after Nov 7, because the Election Commission is likely to announce the schedule for the coming national parliamentary election.

the government.
